He will also serve as a client executive across the power and renewable energy sectors, Lockton said. Mr. Fischer was most recently vice president and chief risk officer for BWX Technologies, which makes and supplies nuclear components and fuel to the U.S. Navy and the commercial nuclear industry. He also spent six years with Marsh Risk’s power and utility practice, working with operating reactors and nuclear fuel-cycle facilities. Mr. Fischer began his career as a submarine warfare officer in the Navy, where he directed safety, navigation and operational readiness aboard the USS Louisville, SSN 724, a nuclear-powered Los Angeles-class fast-attack submarine. Nuclear power is experiencing a renaissance as a clean source of power, particularly for the growing data center sector.
