‘Brokers want to spend their time supporting clients and placing business, not navigating multiple systems,’ says divisional director Markel has launched a new UK eTrading portal designed to give brokers access to trading, claims and business support services through a single platform. The new Markel Hub brings together quotations, renewals, mid-term adjustments, client management and claims under one login, with the aim of simplifying the digital trading journey for brokers. It provides access to a range of specialist commercial products, including contractors combined, professional indemnity combined, technology combined, management liability package, charities combined and not for profit combined. Jo Sykes, divisional director of commercial lines at Markel UK, said: “Brokers want to spend their time supporting clients and placing business, not navigating multiple systems. “Markel Hub brings together everything they need to trade with us in one intuitive platform, making placing business with Markel faster, simpler and more efficient.” Business support The launch also marks the first time Markel has made its Business Hub available to brokers, as it had previously only been available to end customers and selected scheme partners.
