Its lawyers may soon be running on overtime. The coffee chain faces a proposed class-action lawsuit alleging its Dunkin’ Zero drinks take a little too much creative license with “zero sugar,” according to Boston 25 News. Illinois resident Phyllis C. Wells filed the complaint in federal court in Massachusetts, alleging the beverages contain monosaccharide allulose, a simple sugar, despite their marketing. The complaint puts the amount at roughly 9 grams in a medium and 11 to 13 grams in a large. The lawsuit alleges Dunkin’s marketing violates federal labeling standards. Related News A.M.
