Mr. Mitchell will work with clients to structure global treaty portfolios as vice president of Global ReSpecialty, a specialty reinsurance and retrocession solutions division within Aon Reinsurance Solutions. He joined Aon’s commercial risk team in 2025 after working at Guy Carpenter and Willis. Based in New York, he will report to James Fogarty, global head of marine, energy and composite for Global ReSpecialty, operating across both Retrocession and Specialty Proportional business lines, Aon said in a statement. Mr. Rimmer joins Aon as a senior property specialty broker from parametric managing general agent FloodFlash, where he was co-founder and CEO for eight years. Prior to that, he spent five years with the capital markets team at risk modeling firm RMS. He is based in London and reports to Ivor James, senior broker for Global ReSpecialty, the statement said.
