Mr. Mongiello will be responsible for Conduit’s operations, information technology, underwriting operations and claims functions. He also will be a member of the executive committee, Conduit said in a statement. He succeeds Stuart Quinlan, who retired earlier this year, the statement said. Mr. Mongiello was most recently chief operating officer for Aspen’s reinsurance and capital markets businesses. Prior to that, he was with Axa XL, a division of Axa. The appointment is subject to Bermuda immigration approval.
