The Autonomous Vehicle Insurance Program, underwritten by Apollo’s ibott division, offers primary and excess liability coverage at preferred rates to Uber’s autonomous vehicle stakeholders including developers, fleet operators, vehicle manufacturers/owners, and original equipment manufacturers, Marsh Risk said in a release. The program wraps coverage for key participants into a single master policy. Marsh did not disclose available policy limits. Autonomous vehicles require “a fundamentally different approach” to risk and insurance, Chris Moore, president of Apollo ibott – commercial, said in a statement.
