The professional liability policy covers midwives’ prenatal, postnatal and gynecological services in a hospital or clinical setting, in addition to labor and delivery services at a hospital. Limits of up to $1 million per occurrence and $3 million in annual aggregate are offered. Coverage is available on a standalone basis or as a complement to employer-provided insurance. The policy includes license defense coverage, which reimburses up to the applicable limit for the defense of disciplinary charges and other covered expenses if a complaint is brought before a state licensing board.
