Risk Management May 6, 2026 PHILADELPHIA – The Risk & Insurance Management Society presented the winners of its annual industry awards during its annual Riskworld conference this week. The organization’s highest honor, the Harry and Dorothy Goodell Award, was awarded to Nowell Seaman, recently retired special projects lead, insurance and risk management, at Federated Co-operatives Ltd. and a former RIMS global board president. The award recognizes individuals who have advanced the society’s goals and the risk management profession through service and achievement. The Risk Manager of the Year award was presented to Jeffrey Bray, senior vice president, head of global risk management, at Prologis. Emily Buckley, insurance risk manager at Specialized Bicycle Components, was named to the Risk Management Honor Roll. The Volunteer of the Year award went to Candace Heron, manager, claims management, at Toronto Hydro and co-chair and co-founder of the RIMS Ontario chapter’s Rising Risk Professional Network. The Rising Risk Professional Award was presented to Tyler Vaughan, global risk manager, corporate risk and insurance, at Cook Group, recognizing emerging professionals early in their careers. RIMS also inducted Jorge Luzzi into its Risk Management Hall of Fame, citing his contributions to advancing the profession globally. The Chapter of the Year award was presented to the RIMS Dallas-Fort Worth chapter for its programming and member engagement in 2025. RIMS presented its first Community Impact Award to the Rocky Mountain chapter, recognizing efforts to support risk professionals and industry partners. Chapter honors were also awarded to the Los Angeles and Saskatchewan chapters for aligning programming with RIMS strategic priorities, the organization said.
