Mr. Hancock will become a senior adviser effective Dec. 31 and report to AIG President and CEO Eric Andersen, who joined the company earlier this year. AIG did not name a successor. Mr. Hancock was named CEO of AIG’s general insurance business in 2025, having previously led its international commercial and global personal insurance operations. He joined AIG in 2020 as CEO of international general insurance. As general insurance CEO, he oversees AIG’s North America commercial, international commercial and global personal insurance businesses, as well as its claims organization and chief underwriting office. Prior to joining AIG, Mr. Hancock was director of performance management at Lloyd’s of London from 2016 to 2020, where he oversaw performance and risk management across the Lloyd’s market. He previously spent 26 years at British insurer Royal Sun Alliance.
