The appointment is part of a planned leadership succession, RT Specialty said. Mr. McCormack will become vice chairman through 2027, the company said. Mr. Mulshine joined Ryan Specialty in 2012 and has worked across all business units. The company also announced several leadership changes within its property and casualty practices. Brenda (Ballard) Austenfeld, co-president of RT Specialty and CEO of its national property practice, will become deputy vice chairman of RT Specialty, effective August 1. She was a 2006 Business Insurance Women to Watch honoree and a 2025 Iconic Leader . Hugh Mooney, president of the national property practice, will succeed Ms. Austenfeld as CEO of the property practice. Chris Houska, CEO of RT Specialty’s national casualty practice, will become vice chairman of the practice through 2027. Ryan Grimes, president of the national casualty practice, will become CEO of the casualty practice.
