‘He combines deep underwriting knowledge with extensive leadership experience and a strong understanding of how specialist MGAs can create value,’ says chief executive Lloyd’s-backed MGA Subscribe has appointed insurance industry veteran David Eynon as its new managing director. Subscribe – which forms part of the Acies MGU group of specialty MGAs – launched in 2025 as a financial lines insurance specialist, offering “tailored underwriting solutions for SMEs and mid-corporate clients across the UK and internationally”. The firm’s key offerings include professional indemnity, directors’ and officers’ and management liability cover, as well as associated products. Eynon will be tasked with “driving Subscribe’s strategic growth, developing new underwriting partnerships and overseeing the expansion of its product portfolio into additional specialist classes”. He joins from Manchester Underwriting Management, where he had served for the past 13 years, latterly as director. His three decades of experience also includes time spent at Sagicor Syndicate 1207, QBE and AIG, among others. Important milestone Mark Heath, chief executive at Acies MGU, said: “Eynon’s appointment marks an important milestone in Subscribe’s development. He combines deep underwriting knowledge with extensive leadership experience and a strong understanding of how specialist MGAs can create value for brokers and capacity providers alike.” Read: Gallagher hires ex-Aon leader to strengthen UK corporate client expertise Read: Ex-Aviva broker distribution director joins Intact following regional restructure Explore more people moves content here, or discover other news stories here The new appointee added: “Subscribe has built a strong reputation in a relatively short period of time by combining experienced underwriting with the agility that brokers increasingly expect from specialist MGAs. “There is a real opportunity to continue building on those foundations by developing new products, investing in talented people and strengthening our capacity partnerships. “The market continues to evolve and brokers are looking for specialist underwriting expertise, quick decision-making and long-term stability. We’re investing in all three as we continue growing the business.” He graduated in 2017 from the University of Manchester with a degree in Geology. He spent the first part of his career working in consulting and tech, spending time at Citibank as a data analyst, before working as an analytics engineer with clients in the retail, technology, manufacturing and financial services sectors.View full Profile No comments yet
