Domiciled in the Cayman Islands, Azimuth Re is designed for high-performing construction companies that pay at least $250,000 annually in workers compensation, general liability and auto premiums, the Tampa-based brokerage said. The captive is built for contractors focused on employee safety and seeking greater stability and transparency in their insurance programs, Baldwin said in a statement. It includes a $350,000 retention, aligning members’ financial performance with safety outcomes and long-term loss experience. “As we move forward through 2026 and beyond, we anticipate volatility across many critical sectors of the construction insurance market,” Andy O’Brien, partner at Baldwin, said in the statement. Baldwin will provide guidance on member selection, risk strategy and long-term performance. All members operate under a single broker model.
